Hello!

MY NAME IS LAURA

While I have been an artist all my life, the past several years, I have focused on raising money for nonprofit organizations that focus on improving outcomes for mental health care, youth development, and underserved and marginalized communities. I’ve wanted to explore digital art for a while now but was too busy. I recently ended up with some time on my hands and decided that it was the right time to get back to my passion, art. So, I created Black Kat Printables, named after my cat, Loki.

My art has evolved over the years. I have created pieces in realism, modernism, abstraction, etc. The mediums I have worked in include charcoal, metal and clay sculpture, oil and acrylic paint, woodworking, and digital art. The digital medium has allowed me to continue to work in different styles. I have also been exploring the different art styles throughout history, something I haven’t done in many years and missed very much.

While some of my digital pieces are created from my charcoal figure drawings and photos I have taken, many of my designs interpret what I see around me. I’ve lived in New Mexico for the past 25 years, and the architecture, colors, and scenery have inspired me. That inspiration is apparent in some of my work.

Thank you for visiting my shop. I hope you enjoy my work. Please contact me if you have any questions or would like to request a custom piece or size.
